Public Safety (Police and Fire Protection)

Public safety is the foundation of a strong community. As a Fire Captain, tactical paramedic, and longtime public servant, I understand what it takes for our police officers and firefighters to protect Morgan Hill. I will support the resources, staffing, training, and partnerships needed to keep our neighborhoods safe while maintaining transparency and trust with the community.

Parks/Open Space

Parks and open spaces are essential to the health, well-being, and quality of life in Morgan Hill. I support maintaining and enhancing Morgan Hill’s parks, trails, and recreational areas so that families, seniors, and all residents have safe, accessible places to gather, exercise, and enjoy the outdoors. Protecting open spaces also preserves the natural beauty and character that makes Morgan Hill special.

Housing

Housing in Morgan Hill must meet the needs of families, seniors, and workers while preserving the character of our community. My daughters, ages 13 and 10, inspire me to ensure that they—and the next generation—can afford to live in the city they grew up in. I support diverse housing options and strategies that maintain affordability without compromising the safety and charm of our neighborhoods. Any future growth must be responsible, and I’ll hold developers accountable to ensure the best for Morgan Hill.

Transportation

Transportation is critical to keeping Morgan Hill moving safely and efficiently. I have seen firsthand how our transportation needs have grown, and I am committed to creating better access for commuters. I will work to improve traffic flow, expand safe pedestrian and bike routes, support reliable public transit options, and ensure our streets and roads meet the needs of all residents. We need our local voice heard at the county and state levels to secure the funding, resources, and policies that will keep Morgan Hill connected and moving forward.

Downtown Revitalization

Our downtown should be the heart of Morgan Hill—welcoming, safe, and accessible to everyone. I support revitalizing downtown by strengthening local businesses, improving infrastructure, enhancing pedestrian safety, and ensuring access for seniors and all community members. A vibrant downtown helps our community thrive and generates healthy revenue to support services that City Hall provides for our residents.

Tourism

Tourism is an important part of Morgan Hill’s local economy. I support promoting our wineries, outdoor recreation, sports facilities, and local events in a way that benefits residents and small businesses. With smart planning, we can attract visitors who support our restaurants, shops, and hotels while still protecting our community’s small-town feel.

City Council Decorum and Behavior

I believe our City Council should reflect the best of Morgan Hill—respect, professionalism, and a commitment to working together. I will support a council environment where members listen to one another, disagree respectfully, and stay focused on solutions. Good behavior isn’t optional; it’s essential for earning the trust of our residents.

School District

Strong schools are essential to the future of Morgan Hill. As Council Members, we can develop programs that connect city staff with our school district to ensure education is accessible, well-supported, and aligned with community needs. By fostering collaboration between the city and our schools, we can help provide students with resources, safe environments, and opportunities they need to thrive.
